Gravel is a commonly and widely used coarse aggregate, it is one of the main components of concrete; for this reason, the quality of crushed gravel is of vital importance to ensure that the concrete structure fulfills its purpose.

Gravel is a material that is extracted from quarried rocks, crushed or processed from mechanical procedures. The gravel production process is such that it must ensure that the constituent particles have a size range of. ¾ of an inch approximately.

The gravel particle size can range from a very small 3/6 to 3/8 of an inch to a larger crushed gravel size, i.e. 3 to 6 inches.
